This will likely be the last leaked clip we’ll be posting about since the premiere of Sailor Moon Crystal is just around the corner. In this new leaked footage we see a flashback of Serenity and Endymion in Silver Millennium, Usagi being late for school and talking with Ikuko Mama, Sailor Moon talking with Luna, a brief look at Ami and the ending theme, Gekkou, by Momoiro Clover Z. Today, June 30th 2014, at Ript Apparel you can pick up two great looking Sailor Moon shirts for $10. Select Sailor Scout features Sailor Moon, Mars, Mercury and Jupiter in a character select screen reminiscent of old video games such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. There are actually already a bunch of Sailor Moon beat ‘em up games of that style which were made in the 90s. This screen is an original design, not one from one of those games. The second shirts is Lunar Express featuring Luna as the Cat Bus from My Neighbour Totoro which we’ve posted about on the site before.

Two new shirts we haven’t seen before are I Heart Tokyo, with Usagi’s face for the heart, and Moon Queen, showing Usagi and Sailor Moon in a playing card like design. These two shirts are by artist Baznet. For more of his stuff check out his Redbubble store, deviantART page or tumblr.
Other shirts similar to those we’ve posted before are Attack on Moon, a Sailor Moon/Attack on Titans crossover by artist Gilles Bone (Redbubble, Facebook, Twitter, deviantART, tumblr). At this year’s E3 a lot of new characters were revealed for the new Super Smash Bros. game for the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS including Palutena from Kid Icarus. As can be heard in the video below, Palutena’s voice is provided by Aya Hisakawa, the original Japanese voice of Sailor Mercury from Sailor Moon.
Aya Hisakawa also provided the voice of Palutena for the Kid Icarus Uprising video game for the 3DS which was released a couple of years ago. The game is great, though I had played it in English where she’s referred to as Lady Palutena and I had no idea who did her Japanese voice.

This morning, June 16th, episodes 11 and 12 of Sailor Moon became available to view streaming for free, with ads, on Hulu. These episodes are subbed by Viz and will be released at a rate of two episodes per week. Dubbed episodes as well as a DVD and Blu-Ray release will be coming later this summer.
In episode 11, Usagi vs. Rei: Nightmare in Dream Land, we get our first look at Rei and Usagi’s unique relationship. They turn out to be the best of friends but they fight through the best and worst of times. Usagi, Rei and Ami go to Dream Land to investigate a Dark Kingdom plot! While there they see Mamoru on a child’s train, hang out with some robot animals, assault a small child and fight the Dream Princess who’s actually a creepy looking doll monster.
In episode 12, I Want a Boyfriend: The Luxury Cruise Ship Is a Trap, Rei wins a contest for a trip on a cruise ship and brings Ami, much to Usagi’s disappointment. Usagi abuses of her disguise pen to turn into a photographer to sneak aboard and gets a crush on the ship’s captain who’s actually Jadeite!

This Monday, June 2nd, Hulu has added two new episodes of Sailor Moon. These episodes are subbed only by Viz and are being released at a rate of two episodes a week every Monday for the foreseeable future. This week we have episodes 7 and 8.
Episode 7, Usagi Learns Her Lesson: Becoming a Star Is Hard Work, has Usagi and her classmates going wild preparing for the Cinderella Caravan, a local talent show promoted by teen idol Mikan, or rather a monster who is posing as Mikan. The talent show is nothing but a plot by Jadeite and the Dark Kingdom to steal energy. Along the way we have Usagi and Naru breaking the 4th wall by performing the show’s theme song and Umino cross dressing in an attempt to do anything to win the contest!
Episode 8, The Girl Genius Is a Monster: The Brainwashing Cram School of Horror, introduces us to Ami Mizuno, a quiet genius at Usagi’s school with an IQ of 300 (IQs over around 160 are generally thought to be beyond our ability to properly measure). The Dark Kingdom has infiltrated a cram school and Usagi suspects Ami might be in league with the enemy. As it turns out she’s the latest Sailor Guardian Sailor Mercury!
Next week we’ll be seeing episode 9, Usagi’s Misfortune! Watch Out for the Rushing Clocks, which although dubbed in English was sometimes not aired in syndication due to the unfortunate English title “Time Bomb”. Also released next Monday will be “Cursed Buses! Fire Warrior Mars Appears” which is the first appearance of the greatest character in the series!
The Sailor Moon 20th Anniversary Memorial Tribute Album is getting a release on vinyl! There will be five different records released with two songs on each. Collect all five to get the full album.
Each record features cover art of a different Sailor Guardian. The record with Sailor Moon on the cover contains Moonlight Densetsu and Tuxedo Mirage, both performed by Momoiro Clover Z. The one with Sailor Mercury on the cover contains the Sailor Star Song by Mitsuko Horie and Heart Moving by Shoko Nakagawa. Sailor Mars is found on the jacket of the record containing La Soldier by Tommy Heavenly6 and Ai No Senshi by Mariko Goto and Avu-chan. The record with Sailor Jupiter on the cover contains Princess Moon by Haruka Fukuhara and “Rashiku” Ikimasho by Haruko Momoi. Finally the record featuring Sailor Venus on the cover contains Otome No Policy by Etsuko Yakushimaru and Kaze Mo Sora Mo Kitto by Makoto Kawamoto. The bonus track from the CD, the French version of Moonlight Densetsu, does not have a vinyl release as it is not part of the core album.
The records can be purchased individually or as a set from HMV. Since the links on that page don’t seem to work click directly on the product name to buy the box set featuring all five or the individual record featuring Sailor Moon, Sailor Mercury, Sailor Mars, Sailor Jupiter or Sailor Venus. The box set costs 8100 yen, about $80 US and the individual records each cost 1620 yen, about $16 US.

From now until 2pm EST on Thursday May 15th there are eight Sailor Moon shirts available at Pop Up Tee. Most of these feature one of the Sailor Guardians in front of a space background. The shirts are ChibiSpace, MarsSpace, MercurySpace, Sailor Mirror, Sailor Team, SailorSpace, VenusSpace and JupiterSpace.

Following Sunday’s live event where the character art for the new series was revealed the Sailor Moon official site added more images of the characters. Here we have Sailor Moon, Mercury, Mars, Jupiter and Venus both in their Sailor Guardian costumes and as civilians Usagi, Ami, Rei, Makoto and Minako. There is also specific information about the show listed on the site. The series will premier July 5th 2014 7pm Japan Standard Time (6am Easter Standard Time) and will air once every 2 weeks. It has since been confirmed that the series will air for 26 episodes, which means it will run for a year.

The Sailor Moon live event featuring new information about the upcoming Sailor Moon musical and Sailor Moon anime is complete and with that we have a great deal of new information. For the new anime, Sailor Moon Crystal, we have some new character art for all five of the main cast as well as the full cast listing. Most notable is the return of Kotono Mitsuishi, the original voice of Sailor Moon from the 1992 Sailor Moon anime, who will be reprising her role as Usagi in Sailor Moon Crystal. This was heavily insinuated at the original event announcing the new anime but now we have official confirmation.
New voice actresses will be joining the show for the voices of Sailor Mercury, Sailor Mars, Sailor Jupiter and Sailor Venus. The new cast will include Hisako Kanemoto as Sailor Mercury, Rina Sato as Sailor Mars, Ami Koshimizu as Sailor Jupiter and Shizuka Ito as Sailor Venus. In addition to the new information about the new Sailor Moon anime Sailor Moon Crystal we also got details about the Sailor Moon musicals! Last September’s new musical, Sailor Moon La reconquista, will be released on DVD on July 9th 2014. Most of the cast, with the exception of Sailor Mercury, will be returning for this summer’s new musical which is titled Petite Étrangère, which is French for “Little Stranger” with the feminine usage of both words leading us to believe we’re talking about Chibiusa. The musical will play in Tokyo from August 21st to the 31st and in Osaka from September 5th to the 7th. The new Sailor Mercury will be played by Momo Koyama.
