The second full trailer for Sailor Moon Cosmos has been released on the Sailor Moon official site. These are all characters that we’ve seen in the last trailer but it’s nice to get a new and better look at some of them. Sailor Galaxia features prominently in this one as well as Sailor Chibi Chibi. You can watch the trailer on YouTube or embedded below.
One shot near the end of the trailer showing everyone supporting Sailor Moon is quite similar to a scene from the original Sailor Moon anime during the fight against Queen Beryl in the first season. Intentional homage? I suspect it is. I don’t believe this particular scene is based on a specific page in the manga. Given what’s going on with everyone in the scene this is based on I suspect this may parallel what’s happening and who’s including.
Sailor Moon Cosmos Part 1 will be released in theatres in Japan on June 9th with Part 2 following on Usagi’s birthday, June 30th. No specifics about a North American release are currently known.

But it’s March!!
Most if not all of this footage is still from the first half of Cosmos. Still no footage of the Sailor Animates.
Guessing that the Burning Mandala-esque attack is Galactica Inflation.
Half, if not more, is clearly going to be from the second half of Cosmos.
The first shot is from when Usagi has lost her memories and was attacked by Sailor Lethe. You also have, presumably, the galaxy being restored by Lambda Power, Chibiusa running from overhearing Pluto and Neo Queen Serenity talk about anomalies in the past, Sailor Kakyuu taking her fighting pose, Chibi Chibi summoning the Sailor Quartet and Chibimoon to help against Heavy Metal Papillon, Sailor Moon confronting Chaos at the Cauldron, Sailor Moon and Galaxia confronting each other, Chaos overtaking the Cauldron, Chibi Chibi defending Usagi and Chibimoon from Saturn’s attack, Galactica Inflation, the Cauldron resetting as Usagi jumps into it, Usagi reflecting on them all being lonely stars that need one another, Chibimoon transforming, Kakyuu telling Sailor Moon how to defeat Phi and Chi, Galaxia initiating the fight, and Sailor Moon using some new combined attack.
All of that would have to be in the second half Cosmos. The clips of Saturn is either her as her golem attacking Chibimoon and Sailor Moon, or it’s something they added for when Galaxia attacks Pluto.
No one attacking in the footage released so far is wearing Galactica bracelets except Galaxia, so Saturn is most likely not attacking her friends.
Wow, what a trailer. I do have a question, though: when do we get this in the States or Canada? Because something tells me it won’t be at the same time as Japan does.
Likely in October/November on Netflix, if they still have the same deal as with Eternal. Part 2 of Eternal came out in February and in June the movies were on Netflix, which was four months inbetween

very interesting so far, still no sign of the sailor asteroids for chibi moon… or the anima mates, strange they have some shots that arent in the manga at all or a fight or 2… there building up something big here and hope that all the pieces fit in nicely for the final arc that the fans all have been waiting for since what 2010?? i cant remember when they started this remake anymore lol
They must be holding off for an Animamates voice actor reveal before we see them?
