Sailor Moon S Part 2 Blu-Ray

We finally have a specific release date for Sailor Moon S Part 2 and it just squeaks in to Spring on June 20th! The DVD and Blu-Ray sets are up for preorder on Right Stuf and these include a June 20th release date. The DVD set has an MSRP of $39.99 while the Blu-Ray is priced at $69.99. Right Stuf has them for $35.99 and $62.99. We also have a good look at the box art including the back which has details about the release.

Sailor Moon S Part 2 Blu-Ray - Back

We’d previously learned from Viz’s Moon Panel at Anime Boston that we’d be getting the sets in June but we didn’t have a specific release date until now. Sailor Moon S Part 2 includes… well the second half of Sailor Moon S. This covers episodes 109 to 127 which concludes the story of Hotaru, the Death Busters and all that fun stuff. It includes Japanese audio as well as Viz’s new English dub of the original Sailor Moon anime. This will be the first time these episodes are heard in English as Viz has no longer been releasing episodes in an effort to promote their home video releases as they’d done in the past.

    • Me personally, I’m not looking forward to that season. SuperS is my least favorite season of the anime. But I do want to complete the Sailor Moon anime. I much rather wait til both parts are out for that one so that I can get both parts of SuperS at the same time instead of waiting for the other.

      • Well, first, there should be news who will play Zirconia, The Amazon Trio, and Amazoness Quartet, and Nehellenia. They got Debi Derryberry as Diana for SMC2 and hopefully she’ll play her again on Super S.

  1. Finally it feels like forever since S Part 1 was released and can’t wait to complete my Sailor Moon S Collection

  2. hope that super s doesn’t take well over a year between releases as I really want to get to see stars in the first ever English dub not to mention I really hope when we finally do get stars that the starlights are male in civilian form and female in senshi form, also super s really isn’t all that great to be honest especially since in s we have the outer senshi and then they just up and vanish for the next 30 some episodes and take if I recall like 5 episodes of stars to fill in that plothole not to mention they never give chibi usa her guardians but only implied it… at least in the original dubbing any ways

  3. This is disappointing. They should release it earlier. It makes no sense that they have this huge delay when part 1’s delays were obviously not due to releasing better quality video. Even though they kept saying they took feedback in mind. The feedback they took was probably have as much delays as possible. At this rate it will take an even longer time for Supers to be finished.

  4. I LOVE this show. I grew up with Sailor moon. I honestly get so much joy out of watching these new Dubbed episodes. That being said, I’m really hoping the Blu-Ray quality for part 2 will be better than part 1. I was very disappointed having paid a good amount of money and having waited so long for its release. I’ll leave off with just this..PLEASE VizMedia get it right for part 2 and for the rest of the series. The faithful Sailor Moon fans that ARE out there deserve it! That is all. Thank you!
