Actress Karyn Dwyer who provided the voice of BesuBesu or VesVes of the Amazoness Quartet in the original English dub of Sailor Moon, died last week on September 25th. Born in Newfoundland Karyn Dwyer starred in many TV series and movies which were filmed in Canada. She lived in Toronto where she worked on Sailor Moon. She is well known for her starring role in the 1999 film Better Than Chocolate.
VesVes, named after the asteroid Vesta, went by the name BesuBesu in the English dub which Karyn Dwyer voiced the character in. My deepest condolences to Karyn Dwyer’s friends and family. Her contribution to Sailor Moon will be remembered with fondness by her fans.

I’ll miss her for the rest of my life.
My condolences to her friends and family.
Rest well.
We have 24 days left until Halloween.
Lmao that was random
Well! I, too, can make random subject changes! Did you know that the chocolate bar by Mars, Inc., Snickers, was not named after laughter or snickering, but actually a horse beloved by the Mars family? Always eager to horse around!
Well one could still argue that this was indirectly named after snickering if the name was based on the horse’s snickering type mannerisms. Horses will often show their teeth in such a way.
Haha! Indeed, one could argue that, but my point stands!
Wait aren’t Mars and Snickers a totally different thing?
There’s a Mars, Inc. candy company that makes Snickers. While I know about the Mars Bar, I don’t know if that is owned by the aforementioned Mars, Inc.
Sailor Mars makes both I believe.
Yes!! “We at Sailor Mars, Inc. are the leading pioneers of confectionary indulgence! We got chocolate ofudas! Edible flames made of treats! And for Valentine’s Day, if you love being boy-crazy in the classic anime, give that certain, special man a chocolate crow and keep the other for yourself. So heartwarming! But if you prefer the manga personality and dislike men, pop both in your mouth and be on your cool, snobbish way! Yes, try our products from Sailor Mars, Inc. Our passion for unique treats burn like fire!”
I have no idea where this conversation is going but im enjoying it lol
Rest in peace :/
Yeah. I read a little about her life and she seemed to have slogged through personal tragedies. Sad.
Damn, this is even more depressing now that i know that she had a “not so happy” life
Not sure if this is true or not but I looked up how she died and it says she killed herself. Kinda hard to believe she’d do that. But I guess people can get stressed in the acting business.
I’ve seen suggestion of this elsewhere but didn’t feel it appropriate to mention it in the article.
Sailor Moon S re-dub episodes are coming out on sites like hulu, Viz and such next month on the first. So, the digital version that you can watch online is finally being updated.
Good news! Where did you hear this?
