This weekend is Katsucon in National Harbor Maryland. On Friday, February 13th, Viz hosted a Sailor Moon panel in which the dub cast for Sailor Moon R was announced. The panel was hosted by Charlene Ingram and included Cherami Leigh, the voice of Sailor Venus, Amanda Miller, the voice Sailor Jupiter, Cristina Vee, the voice of Sailor Mars and Robbie Daymond, the voice of Tuxedo Mask.
The new actors who will be joining the show for Sailor Moon R are Johanna Luis as the alien An also known as Natsumi Ginga, Brian Beacock as the Alien Ail also known as Seijirou Ginga, Sandy Fox as Chibiusa and Veronica Taylor as Sailor Pluto. Veronica Taylor is likely the best known of these voice actors for providing the voice of Ash Ketchum in Pokémon.

Sailor Moon 20th Anniversary Cast Reunion Panel at Fan Expo 2013
I’ve heard Sandy Fox before; her voice is remarkably similar to Sugar Lyn Beard’s take on Rini/Chibiusa…and the reason how I know this is because she was a contestant on a game show called Whammy! (a revamped version of the classic Press Your Luck game) back around 2002-2003.
Not to hurt anyone’s feelings but Viz should have cast Sugar Lyn. Because she deserves a second chance.
Who’s playing the Black Moon Clan?
Wish I knew. I’ll post info about it as soon as I find out.
Instead of Sandy Fox, should Viz Media hire Sugar Lyn as the voice of Chibiusa instead? How do I contact Viz about it?
I have better idea. Maybe Sandy Fox can voice one of the minor characters or voice either Diana (Chibiusa’s cat) or Chibi-Chibi.
I wager $5 that one of the Black Moon members is voiced by my favorite voice actor Ron Perlman.
