There haven’t been any musicals released on video to date. I don’t think there’s even licensing for it right now. Viz has the right to the original anime and Crystal but I don’t think anyone has home video rights for the musicals outside of Japan. Perhaps now that it’s streaming there’s a bit more interest but I’m not sure what that would even look like.

Does anyone know if they plan to sell DVD/Blu-ray of this outside of Japan, ideally with English subtitles? Looks like right now it’s just raw Japanese and only able to ship within Japan. I’d love a copy if they plan on selling any outside the country! (´；ω；`)

Am I the only one who notices that Sailor Saturn is in this adaption?

I expect it’s based on the manga, I said animation because I’m exhausted after a long work week and was thinking of the movie at the same time as the manga. Maybe we’ll get the birhday party, something dropped from the movie. It won’t be dubbed, subtitles at best.

Kaguya’s Lover works well for a stand alone musical, no need to try and cram it into continuity.

I’m super excited about this one. This is one of the last stories I’d expect an adaptation of. The musicals have always taken liberties with Sailor Moon and made some interesting twists to the stories or making entirety new adventures. I’m really curious what changes are made to accommodate the change from animation to musical.
