Seems a bit premature to announce a retail release so early since live performances don’t even start until next week. This potentially means that a full run-through of the show has already been videotaped as a backup in case the live performances get delayed again.

The story is bog standard for a dark kingdom adaptation, the good part comes from the stage effects and choreography. There are on-stage transformations and pupperty. The scenes are more abstract than previous musicals, it all comes together for an entertaining show.

Mars’ awakening and the journey to the moon were my favourite parts.
