Yeah, inconsistency and lack of direction plague it. I feel like the writer’s didn’t know what to do with it. I did enjoy the show, as a Sailor Moon fan, but if I wasn’t a fan I feel I would have dismissed it.
It’s a fun show with some good ideas, but it’s hampered by too many plots that go nowhere.
I would have liked to see some of the elements from the show carried over into an animated form one day. Darkury, Jadeite’s love for his queen, the real threat being more than Metalia/Beryl…there was a lot of good ideas here.

Yeah the show by Act 20 is nearly unrecognizable from when it started.

I hope we learn something about Crystal IV before you finish these reviews. Never been a fan of a life-action Sailor Moon but your reviews made me give it a chance. I enjoyed the character arcs, but the story as a whole was very imconsistent and the balance between silly and serious themes very univen. I enjoyed it for what it is and the characters were really fleshed out, but the story itself was like a fanfic, albeit good fanfic.
