Always a tough tradeoff when there are a lot of characters. Probably would have been worse if they’d introduced more of the Sailor Guardians!

I love ur comments. When I watch I don’t notice those things since I’ll just be smiling through it all.

Sadly one of the dropped plots in this show was the girls bonding. I always felt they were too focus on Usagi as centre of the relationship that the other girls don’t bond as much.

I would have liked to see Jupiter become much closer to the other girls. Here she bonds with Mars then later with Mercury a bit then nothing else.

It’s funny and awesome to think they either read or watched Sailor Moon. Maybe Batman was doing research on heroes?

With the Sailor Moon “revival” going on, maybe we’ll see a new live action series eventually. One based off of Sera Myu could be interesting.

Well, I think your own interpretation may be the best! If the directors decided to deviate from the original story, then yes, they also may have decided to change the way the three other Kings look, like that, just for fun (who knows?). To me, it seems consistent. Thank you!

I think the show changed a lot from the start. We see the first 4 episodes following the manga and then deviating a lot. I think Jadeite was the same. Him and Beryl are in episode 1 and look just like they do in other continuities. By the time the others show up the show is starting to do its own thing. A great deal of this show seems to follow this model of starting out with the intention of being a fairly straight adaptation and deviating from this along the way. Just my sense from watching it! Don’t know of any particular behind the scenes interpretations which agree with this.

Seeing these picture of Zoisite, I never understood why Jadeite was the only King, in this show, to look like his manga/anime original version. Zoi just looks like Diamond with a ponytail, and Nephrite bears a resemblance to Rubeus. And then we have a black-haired and fringeless Kunzite… Are there explanations to this?

I began to watch the show from what I could find on YouTube. It’s confusing, and I don’t think I will get used to it, though I think the actresses were perfect for their roles.
