Back then I was going to drop the show because I wasn’t keen on watching a rehash but continued because I found Rei very appealing but these two episodes with Ami and Jupiter really struck a cord with me. The fear of being abandoned and wanting so much to fit in is a universal feeling and one of the great things done by the show. I decided to stick around and watch how this panned out because of these two episodes.

PS: It’s “was” in this context. “Her hair was” works. If it was “hairs” it would be “Her hairs were” but unlike French you we don’t do plural for hair. I think the usage has to do with it not being a countable noun or something though I didn’t learn English as a second language so I’m not super clear on that. I have the luxury of going with that “sounds right”.
