Good news for all of the Sailor Moon actors I’ve seen in commercials! I’ve seen Katie Griffin in a lot of them since the 90s. Rino Romano is still in every Mazda commercial I see!

Promotion & licensing fees. Also I have a hunch that the actors get paid under union commercial contracts for this, which pays far, far better than dubbing most anime (regardless of success). That’s nice, at least. They probably got around $1k plus tons of residual payments, whereas for the show it’s around $65 an episode.
