I like those aliens. Thought I think it would’ve been more awesome if after the first season in anime they continued straight to Chibiusa arc and with Sailor Moon having no memory and still as Usagi trying to defend Chibiusa… well that would be a great fanfic

Didn’t Naoko also originally want to end the manga after the Black Moon arc? Maybe at the time they made R Toei thought there wouldn’t be anymore Sailor Moon anime after the R season and so maybe they thought there wasn’t a need to introduce a new cat at that point.

Always loved these episodes. And as for why Diana’s only introduced now…maybe they felt she wasn’t necessary till now and that now she can actually contribute something to the story, especially since this season is so Chibi-Usa centered.
