Ptilol is just an “extension” of Cyprine’s sorcery, meaning she splits away from her in battle. It was stated in the Materials Collection by word of God. This is further proven when thinking, do we ever see Ptilol in civilian form? When Cyprine was in the shadows during the whole S season it was just her. Not like Ptilol was on a permanent smoke break, lol.

I remember her being sometimes inexcusably bratty, even for a kid who took on the burden of saving her parents and the future. And shouldn’t there be a little bit of darkness in her? After all, she was the Black Lady for awhile. Surely she regrets some of her actions from back then.

They could have really delved into Mugen some more. Maybe they didn’t think Viluy and the others were interesting enough to have more than one episode? I guess it also fit the pace of impending doom they were going for.
