In this process Sailor Mars steals the Moon Stick from Usagi! Seems fitting after Usagi stole her boyfriend!

Someone must not have watched the original. The only thing that happened which was only in the god awful dic/clover way dub was the theft of tthe moon stick which was wrong.

This is the episode which was recently reanimated, scene by scene, by a team of over 250 different animators. If you haven’t already watched Moon Animate Make-Up! I would suggest watching that version of the episode instead of watching this.

Why? It is no where near as good as the original.

You are correct. Mars only stole the Moon Stick in the DiC dub. In the Japanese version, it is Usagi who asked Rei to look after the Moon Stick so the bad guys wouldn’t get it.

Truth.

And wasn’t the “theft” aspect only in the dub? If I remember right, the original Japanese episode has Rei holding the Moon Stick at Usagi’s request, and the conflict she’s having is because she wants to rush in and save Sailor Moon, but promised that she would wait to let the deception play out.

Um, Usagi didn’t “steal” Mamoru away from Rei. Mamoru never liked Rei anything more than a friend to begin with and the romance was all a fantasy in Rei’s head. I don’t know why you keep giving Usagi a hard time for something that never happened.
