I would say they were a mid to low quality voice cast. A lot it sounded out of place and awful.

The Viz version based on what we have heard is miles better. The Luna destroys the old one.

The original DIC version was a tad shrill for my liking. I know, she was supposed to be a crybaby, but they didn’t need to go that over the top with it. I like Stephanie Sheh’s portrayal MUCH better.

Yeah! Viz-Usagi sounds way too young, like Chibi-Usa young. The Dic and Cloverway Usagi voices were almost perfect for the character I thought.

That is to say, what I’ve heard so far of the Viz version. Hope Usagi’s voice gets better over time.

I actually really enjoy the original Dic dub. Was it 100% accurate? No. But I’m more referring to voice acting quality versus differences in names and dialogues. I still think the Dic version is better than the Viz version.

I don’t think this video was created to try and supplant the new dub, but rather just to have a bit of fun seeing how things sync up.
